A small, recently opened storefront space in the north part of Lakeview that is run by Steep Theatre Company, but rents its space out to many other productions. With a handkerchief of a lobby and a theater that isn't much larger (though still a bit bigger than the side project up north), the space is home to some surprisingly intense dramatic productions.
Just inside the sparsely decorated lobby are photos of the (mostly male, not that there's anything wrong with that) Steep Ensemble, just above the mini-fridge that holds the concessions (which yes, include beer). Personally, I like the atmosphere of the place, and it's pretty accessible even for a Lakeview theatre- it's practically a sneeze from the L train. If you see a show there, a guilty pleasure is to visit the Taqueria right near the train stop-you gotta love the grease.
