The English refuse to celebrate Christmas without the panto, a hybrid form of family theater that is musical, nonsensica, and always features a dude in a dress. The Piccolo Theatre's locally baked version of the holiday pudding, around since 2003, will charm you and your sprogs into submission with its sugar-shocked dumbness. This year, Piccolo serves up a version of "Perseus and Medusa," a Greek myth with considerably more cross-dressing than is classical.
