Robert David MacDonald's translation of Racine's poetic take on an ancient myth examines the destructive consequences of love. Phèdra, cursed by the gods to love her step-son, Hippolytus, grapples with the turbulence her passion creates. Directed by theater movement specialist Alison Henderson, the production is based on movement theorist Rudolf Laban's movement analysis.
