Developed as part of Steppenwolf's new play initiative, "Fake" tells the story of mystery writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who invites four guests to his English country home. Each visitor is connected to the “Piltdown Man,” supposedly the missing link between ape and man. Traipsing through time, the show how “Piltdown,” later proven a hoax, changed assumptions about evolution, faith and science. On September 30th, enjoy wine and food pairings from Vinci Restaurant and music in the balcony lobby at 6:00 p.m. Tasting and performance cost $60 per person.
