Broadway wants to test its commercial behemoths in our little ol' town? Gee thanks. Still, Centerstage is willing to give "The Addams Family" a chance. For one thing, the musical is drawn not from the cheesy TV show, but directly from the original, scrumptiously acerbic cartoons. Second, the tunes are by wunderkind Andrew Lippa. Finally, Nathan Lane as Gomez and Bebe Neuwirth as Morticia? That's typecasting to perfection.
