Dennis and Bob are about the best that you will find in the Mid West when it comes to knowing the various brands of equipment and being able to fit you with the right equipment. Their prices are very competitive. Their desire to be sure you are happy is priceless. Are they busy at times. You bet. But they give each customer the time and attention they need. I have a home in Aspen and they blow away the kids there with the maturity and experience of real pro's. The shop is old and not glitzy. But don't be fooled. Bob and Dennis are gems!

I went to Viking Ski Shop and had the most knowledgeable professionalable people who I have every dealt with. I have been to other shop in Chicagoland area during my ski experience and have found no one with as much knowledge as this shop. The prices were the same as other shops but the service is outstanding. I now enjoy skiing

What an amazing ripoff. Spent $290 for "custom" boot fitting. The technician spent next to no time with me, never even touched the boots when on my feet, and even glibbly stated how little time it would take, all the while waiting on other customers at the same time. THIS SHOP SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS. THEY CATER ONLY TO NAIVE CUSTOMERS WHO FALL VICTIM TO THEIR ADVERTISING, QUICK AND SALESMANSHIP BUT CARRY NO DIFFERENT EQUIPMENT AND PROVIDE NO BETTER SERVICE THAN ANY NATIONAL CHAIN. THEY PUSH CUSTOM FITTING ON EVERY BOOT SALE, ADDING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS IN CHARGES TO THEIR ALREADY NON-DISCOUNT PRICING..

The service is good if your willing to pay for overpriced and overhyped equipement. To adjust and test my existing ski bindings to new boots they quoted me $75 vs. King Keyser who quoted $15. This gross mark-up of cost for a simple procedure shows how greedy ski snobs work with no competition. It's a shame one can't find a quality ski store in this fine city. Don't go with your first instinct if it is to visit this shop.

Hand's down the best ski shop around when it comes too sales, service, and overall one on one time. So that you feel comfortable with your purchase,big or small. Thank's Steve and Bob for all the help...
